Calling dads and grand-dads - a cool place to go with the children. A new group for fathers and other male carers has been  set up.. The  Cool Dads’ Time session  takes place at the Cool House in Morgan Avenue, Torquay, every Tuesday  at 10.30am-12.30pm. 

Lorrie Layne, Community Engagement Co-ordinator, Early Intervention said  dads and grand-dads found it difficult to take their children to the traditional mother and toddlers’ groups and may feel more comfortable at a session geared to them.  With the financial downturn, more unemployed fathers were available to take their children out while looking after them in the day. 

At the Cool House there is a whole range of play equipment, pool table and table football to keep the fun going.  Lunch and refreshments are also available. Anyone who would like more information on who to contact, click on the flyer here.
