Cats Protection Torquay & District Branch
Could you give a cat a home? – So many cats and kittens are being looked after locally by Cats Protection they will have the very cat for you! A spokesperson told me “We have a number of cats desperately looking for a new loving home, a few which have been in care with us for six months, and we have a number of black cats too! We are particularly desperate for fosterers to provide temporary homes for cats and kittens. If you love cats, have a reasonably-sized garden and some spare time then please contact us. Also, we are in need of a garage to store Cat Food and Bric-a-Brac. If you have a garage in Torquay or Paignton which we could have rent-free or at a low cost, please contact us.”
Cats Protection relies on volunteers giving their time whether for 2 hours a week or every day. Jobs vary from looking after cats in your own home, to helping raise much needed funds at events. Follow the link to the Events Page on the website for dates and details.
Rob, Marcia, Pauline and all the team would love to hear from anyone who may be able to help. Please phone 01803 557014 for more information or email coordinator@torquaycats.org.uk or for fundraising and events email: fundraising@torquaycats.org.uk see our website www.torquay.cats.org.uk
The Torquay & District Branch was formed in 2003 and is still relatively small, consisting entirely of volunteers, most of whom have full-time jobs as well as their CP duties. Because of this, they may not always be able to take your phone call but we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as we can.
