Home Safety

Every year thousands of people within the UK experience fire in the home.  Tragically, many of these result in injury or even death.

A large number of these fires could have been prevented if potential hazards in the home were identified and eliminated and the residents had a plan in case of emergency. To assist with this, your fire and rescue service has introduced ‘Home Safety Visits’.  These involve a fire and rescue service employee visiting your home to give advice and guidance in respect to fire and home safety needs.  They will also assist you with the development of an escape plan.

The Home Safety Visits are available to anyone who is concerned with improving safety within their home.  The FREE service is provided to develop a safer community.  You may also qualify to have a FREE smoke alarm fitted.
