Devon Guild of Craftsmen is an Education Charity and funds its activities by various trading concerns, providing a showcase and retail provision for Arts and Crafts from local people who become members of the Guild.

They are looking to develop a new approach to service delivery which includes a volunteer experience package, adding value to their current services, increasing their capacity and providing additional education, work experience and volunteering placements for people across all age ranges.

The Guild is particularly interested in hearing from students or younger people who may be having difficulty securing employment, for whom new knowledge, a nationally renowned network, and customer engagement with internal and external customers from the Arts World may bring new opportunity.

This can be tailored to meet individual needs and includes retail experience in their shop premises at Cockington or Bovey Tracey, Administration and Customer Service.

A substantial emphasis is placed upon the development of personal relationships with the 'Makers' and 'Artists or Artisans' and many representatives from International and National organisations such as English Heritage and the National Lottery.

Application in the first instance is through CVA Torbay who will register and screen applicants for interview by the Guild.

This is an excellent opportunity for broadening opportunity and opening new networks.
