We would like to invite you to come along to this Visioning Day and be part of developing TULIP, (Torbay User Led Involvement Partnership).
The Visioning Day is being held to get service users together to shape TULIP (Torbay User Led Involvement Partnership) and it is important that this group develops from the service users. The event will be hald from 12.30 – 5.00 pm at Paignton Library. Lunch will be provided.
The aim is to form a user led partnership for user led organisations working with disabled & vulnerable people in Torbay.
The purpose is to ensure service users are properly represented in service development and to make user led organisations in Torbay are stronger and give them more opportunity to operate services in the area and consequently become more sustainable.
This government led initiative which requires user led partnership in all local authority areas.
In Torbay the Coalition of Disabled People, SPOT and the Cool House have taken on the task of making this happen with the support of Torbay Council and TCT.
The Personalisation Board and Fusion (user led partnership for Devon) have provided some start-up funding. Torbay Council is also supporting with staff time.
The next steps are:
- Visioning Day 21 June to get service users together to shape TULIP
- Formation of a Board at least 80% disabled service users
- Training for Board Members
