What a great time we had @ the Pad on Tuesday 13th March see below what went on and watch this space for more information on the next get together.......

Our last meeting was a coffee an update @the Pad where 'Eat that Frog'  are based and we were able to experience the atmosphere of this vibrant & highly utilised venue and learn more about our newly formed partnership.

CVA Torbay have joined their skills & experience with Eat that Frog, Hand in Hand and Brixham YES to form a new a consortium called ‘Civic Academy Torbay’ (CAT for short) and between us we not only offer numerous volunteer opportunities but also lots of training & Information too.

Amongst other things the ‘CAT’ is aiming to offer support, training opportunity and employability options through delivering service based on community need and by empowering individuals to build positive lives. Volunteers in Torbay can now access a Volunteering training course leading to a qualification, which is being offered free to current and future volunteers.  For more information about the National Certificate in Volunteering (NCFE) which is the equivalent of a NVQ Level 2 qualification please follow this link.
