The ACF website provides information on Grant Making Trusts and foundations, other useful organisations in the UK voluntary sector and contacts for grant-makers in other countries.
On the ACF website you will find a list of hundreds of grant making trusts. They also produce information sheets such as: Applying to a Charitable Trust or Foundation (leaflet). The following links will take you to these two areas of their website.
