Royal British Legion Torquay Branch

The Torquay Branch is one of the founding branches of the Royal British Legion being established in 1921.  We welcome as members anyone who supports the ideals and aims of the Legion, be they ex-service or those with no service background or connection.

We provide financial and material help to those members of the ex-service community in need in Torquay who are either financially unable to help themselves and/or have been failed by the state social services. We also foster the comradeship of ex-servicement and women and our members with social events throughout the year.

Membership is open to all over 18 and costs £14 (year 2010/11) and although we do not have an associated club, membership entitles you to use any Legion club in the UK and associated clubs in Australia, Canada and many other countries.  There is a National Magazine bi monthly and a Branch Newsletter four times a year.

The branch is based at St Annes Hall, St Anne's Road, Babbacombe TQ1 3NU and can be contacted by post or telephone 316931
