We offer FREE 1-2-1 support and signposting for Lifesyle behaviour changes for people who wish to become more active, eat healthily, reduce alcohol intake, stop smoking, improve emotional health and wellbeing. Mostly Monday - Friday service. Working hours and venues are highly flexible to suit service users.  Public Health Promotion.  Offer training and self help programmes.

We would like to promote the lifestyle tam services to community groups in Torbay with the support of Health Trainer Champions (volunteers). The role includes: signposting people to appropriate services run by local agencies and organisations, accompany client to initial appointment e.g. stop smoking, gym assessment, in the role of supporter.  To be willing to undergo appropriate periodical skills training relevant to role. Assist Health Trainer to develop tailored health promotion information and be a 'buddy' to clients wishing to improve their lifestyle. Inform the Health Trainer about any client who discloses information that could lead to a negative impact on their own health or that of client. To be responsible for claiming travel expenses using established procedures. Support the Lifestyles service at community events by putting up poster displays, signing people in, offering refreshments and promoting the services offered by the Lifestyles Team. With the consent of the client record information  about the clients they have seen and pass this information onto a Health Trainer to record in line with Data Protection Act 1974. This would include supporting a client to complete a referral from. Fulfil their duties in line with the Torbay Care Trust confidentiality policy, disability discrimination act, protection of vulnerable adults (POVA) and other legal bodies and procedures.
