How would you improve life in Brixham

What’s your big idea?  Brixham YES is offering YOU the opportunity to make a difference in our community.  They are looking for ideas that create opportunities for young people and improve community life by encouraging residents of all ages to work together.

The challenge will run from July 2011 to January 2012 and closing date for entries is Friday 8th of July. 

• Up to 30 projects will be selected and supported through the challenge with advice and training
• They can help fund your idea to get you started when the challenge begins.
• 6 prizes each of £3,500 will be awarded to support local community projects, promote young entrepreneurs and encourage older people to share their skills with younger people.
• At the end of the challenge period a local judging panel will select the 6 winners from the 30 supported projects

It’s Simple To Enter

1. Have an Idea - now
2. Come and talk to YES - now
3. Apply - now
4. Hear back from YES - by16th July
5. Start your project - 16th July onward
6. Challenge period - July 2011 to January 2012
7. Then our panel of judges decide which projects will be awarded prizes.

Brixham YES are holding drop in sessions for further information about the challenge at The Edge at the following times:  Friday 17^th June 12 noon – 2 pm.  Monday 20^th June 1pm – 3pm. Wednesday 22^nd June 10am – 12noon.  Friday 24^th June 12noon – 2pm
