Westcountry Housing Association - Young Parents Project
We provide temporary supported accommodation for homeless young parents and parents-to-be in Torbay, aged 16 - 26. Residents stay at the projects for up to 2 years to gain the support and life skills they need to move on to and maintain permanent accommodation. Support is offered during normal office working hours and includes, budgeting, benefits advice, parenting, education and training, cooking skills etc.
Steepway in Paignton offers accommodation and support to 7 female residents and their children, 5 in a large communal house and 2 in one bedroomed flats in the grounds.
Matlock House and Coverdale House offer 10 one-bedroomed flats for either couples or singles and their children, as well as 2 two-bedroomed flats for larger families.
