Torbay’s recognition of volunteering through certificates

‘Volunteer Award Certificates’ to raise the profile of volunteers and help to celebrate their valuable contribution, have been available in Torbay for some time.

The previous Torbay Mayor Nick Bye was full of enthusiasm about rewarding and recognising volunteers in this way and in fact felt he would like to thank volunteers personally by adding his signature to the certificates. He then encouraged all voluntary/community groups and organisations in Torbay to get in touch with him about any celebrations or presentations they are planning.  We will be approaching the current Mayor Gordon Oliver about taking on this initiative.

Presenting your volunteers with a Volunteer Award Certificate by way of thanks for their selfless contribution to the community is just one small way of showing how much they are valued.

At the moment only one certificate is available (but watch this space - hopefully we will be in a position to offer signed certificates again soon)
